Permanent makeup is the in thing in Hermosa Beach why? Want to throw away your eyeliner, lip liner, and blush forever?  Tried of makeup that runs and smears? Then you can join the chorus of women in the Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach area choosing permanent makeup (PM).

How much does permanent makeup cost? Is PM safe? What kind of training is need to become a PM artist? These are questions I will answer in other articles. But first: Is permanent make-up something new? N0!

Permanent Makeup is not a new beauty procedure

Permanent makeup or cosmetic tattooing was practiced by women in ancient Mediterranean times, as evidenced by the tattooed mummies found by archaeologists. Because of advances in PM techniques  such as microblading and feathering cosmetic tattooing experienced a rebirth in the United States in the early1980s.

Beauty Woman with Perfect Makeup

Today in the Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach area there are a growing number of cosmetologists, tattoo artists, and aestheticians who are providing PM services. But permanent makeup is not just for the eyebrows.

PM training in the Manhattan and Hermosa Beach area.

You might have seen advertisements about learning how to do permanent makeup or microblading in just three days! No one can learn how to do PM in just three days or 30 days or even three months! It takes hundreds and hundreds of hours of training over many months plus working on 50-60 models before one can even begin to provide PM services properly and safely!

Advances in Permanent makeup procedures

Because of the advances in cosmetic tattooing techniques, procedures and products PM is no longer limited to eyebrows. Now permanent makeup eyeliner and permanent makeup lip liner are also common PM procedures done in the South Bay area.

Regardless of the body area or the technique or lets say the concept it is always the same: placing (tattooing) pigments below the skin. The amount of pigment, the color, and whether manual or electrical instruments are used can vary.
