One of our clients asked me the other day why other salon/spas in the Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach area who do waxing don’t also offer sugaring? It is because sugaring demands additional training and much practice to perfect. With a learning curve up to six months or more to master the art of doing a Brazilian wax with sugaring or a bikini wax with sugaring many estheticians prefer not to offer it. We are one of the only salon/spas in the Hermosa Beach, Manhattan Beach, Torrance area offering sugaring AND waxing but we have converted many clients from waxing. We have yet had anyone revert back to waxing. Waxing can have advantages especially when you have to cover large areas. But overall we have found that sugaring lasts longer, can be more thorough and leave a smoother skin texture as it also exfoliates dead skin cells in the process. It is all natural without added chemicals or harsh additives and is room temperature so will never burn the skin. It is also great for those extremely sensitive areas. In conclusion sugaring and waxing are both effective hair removal techniques and our estheticians at both our Hermosa Beach and Manhattan Beach locations are highly trained in both methods.
